Maiden 02:34
In your eyes I will try to realize I can fly. Never again will we be friends. Sacrifice all the times I tried to cry for your lies. Never again will I trust in the end. I am the maiden. I am the mother. I am the broken child within. Compromise? Therein lies your sympathy. Woe is me. I'll never forget we used to be friends. Now you say there's a way for us to repay all the debts that you saved. My heart is your slave. I am the maiden. I am the mother. I am the broken child within. I am the maiden. I am the mother. I am the broken child within.

Mother 03:46
Take it. Make it. Get all of the things you wanted. Fake it. Break it. Lose all of the things you needed. Love at first sight and love at first smile have faded. Don't leave my heart to freeze to death. Never alone. I'm never at home. I'm dead without your kiss, forever my bliss. I'm jaded by all the things that motherhood brings. I needed to give my life to give you breath.
3.
Broken 04:25
Better late than never. Nothing ventured, nothing gained. Better safe than sorry. Tomorrow's another day. What doesn't kill you makes you weaker. If I bend I will break. I thought I would be strong. I thought I knew the stakes. What doesn't kill you makes you weaker. If I sleep I will die. I don't know how many tears I have cried. What doesn't kill you makes you weaker. If I bend I will break. I don't know how much more of this I can take. What doesn't kill you makes you weaker. If I bend I will break. You must be so happy despite the sleepless nights. I'll just say they're happy tears in your eyes.

Beautiful 04:02
Sleep, sleep soundly now Love of my life, mate to my soul. Break, break every heart you dare to touch, Then go make them whole. Don't you know you are so beautiful? Don't you know I am so gullible? Let's take our time on this road to our demise. Forever yours, and you're forever mine. When the world outside is rife with pain, Is cold as ice, Climb back into love And dry the tears from your eyes. As I reach across the sun, Will you know that I am here? Only love can break my heart This time. Don't you know you are so beautiful? Don't you know I am so gullible? Let's take our time on this road to our demise. Forever yours, and you're forever mine, My beautiful boy.

about

"Maiden. Mother. Broken." is my 11th album. After the release of my last album, "Crimson Daughter," which chronicles my journey during and after my miscarriage, I finally became a mother to a beautiful baby boy (Aidan) in December 2018. I was in utter love, but I was completely unprepared for the deep, dark hole I went down after his birth, caused by torture-level sleep deprivation, postpartum anxiety and rage, feelings of immense guilt, intense hormonal mood swings, information overload and misinformation around how to raise a baby, and physical exhaustion after an emergency C-section. I was a broken woman. This EP was a journey, to claw my way back to my old, yet changed, self, and begin picking up the pieces of my ravaged body, mind, and heart.
